Parasolid Designer, Parasolid Editor, Parasolid Communicator and Parasolid Educator are supported on the following platforms:

Microsoft Windows

  • Intel x86: Windows XP/2000 running on Intel Pentium through Pentium 4, or AMD Athlon and Opteron. Symmetric Multi-Processing is supported on dual- and quad-processor hardware.
  • Intel x86 with SSE2®: Windows XP/2000 running on Intel Pentium 4 or Xeon, or AMD Athlon 64 and Opteron. This version of Parasolid is built with the Intel C/C++ compiler and uses SSE2® instructions for higher performance. Symmetric Multi-Processing is supported on dual-processor hardware.
  • Intel IPF: Itanium Processor Family, optimised for Itanium II, running 64-bit Windows XP. Symmetric Multi-Processing is supported on dual-processor hardware.
  • X64: 64-bit code for AMD Athlon 64 or Opteron, or Intel EM64T, running 64-bit Windows. Symmetric Multi-Processing is supported on dual-processor hardware. This version is currently a beta release, pending the production release of the supporting 64-bit Windows operating system.

LINUX

  • Intel x86: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.0 WS, or compatible Linux supporting the LSB 1.3 standards, running on Intel Pentium Pro through Pentium 4, or AMD Athlon and Opteron.

UNIX

  • HP-UX: HP HP-UX 11.0 or later, running on IPF or PA-RISC, for 32- or 64-bit applications.
  • Solaris: Sun Solaris 8 or later, running on UltraSPARC, for 32- or 64-bit applications.
  • AIX: IBM AIX 5.1 or later, running on RS6000/POWER, for 32- or 64-bit applications.
  • Irix: Silicon Graphics Irix 6.5 or later, running on MIPS, for 32-bit applications.
  • Macintosh: Mac OS X 10.3 or later, running on PowerMac G4 or G5, for 32-bit applications.
